This post requires an enthusiastic person who has NVQ level 3 in childcare, playwork or equivalent.

 

The post is 25 hours working flexible hours across the working week including weekends and evenings to support disabled children to access social and leisure opportunities in their own local communities.

 

The Fusion service is underpinned by the ethos of inclusion.

 

The post involves meeting families, supporting them in childcare, play and youth provision, friendship groups across the city and enabling disabled children to be included. The role also includes personal care where appropriate and supporting children with complex health needs to be included.

 

Staff can be called on at short notice to support disabled children and young people.

 

The role is underpinned by The Person Centred Planning approach, and non designated key working, both of which staff are trained in this Team Around The Child Model. This is not a definitive list as we work with all disabled children to enable them to be included without any barriers.

A vacancy has arisen in the Liverpool JET (Jobs, Education and Training) Service for an Business Training Coordinator. The working hours are 35 hours per week and the conditions of the flexible working hour’s scheme apply to this post.

 

The JET Service works with local residents to enable them to enter education, training and employment and provides support to businesses, particularly around recruitment and staffing assistance. This post involves leading and developing the JET Business Support Team in the planning and delivery of customised employment preparation training programmes to fulfil the needs of both unemployed people and employers, undertaking visits to employers and training providers, supporting inward investment activities associated with the JET and deputising for the JET Manager in their absence.

 

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate experience of working in a service with a strong customer focus maintaining continuously high standards of customer care. It is essential that candidates have a minimum of 12 months experience of working in a recruitment environment and hold or be working towards a Certificate in Recruitment Practice, have strong leadership and team management skills.

 

The successful applicant will be able to take a strategic approach to the planning of effective recruitment events and programmes and to attract and retain business customers by actively establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. They must also demonstrate excellent communication and negotiating skills, problem-solving ability, have a flexible approach to work and an ability to work under pressure ensuring that performance standards and targets are met.

Mersey Port Health Authority invites applications to fill a newly created post for a Senior Port Health Officer.

 

The Port of Liverpool is expanding to meet the challenges of the future with a post-panamax harbour facility planned, and a newly constructed Border Inspection Post. Several million tonnes of recycled metal is exported through the Port annually. The Authority is responsible for 52 miles of coastline and responsibilities include shellfish and water quality monitoring.

 

John Lennon International Airport is the fastest growing regional airport in Europe, with over 5 million passengers a year. In all this, the Authority seeks to protect public and animal health against the threat of imported disease by applying International, EC and UK rules to a range of shipping, aircraft and coastal activities.

 

A Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health together with a Certificate of Registration of the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board is required ideally complemented with meat inspection training or experience.

 

Experience over a range of environmental health subjects will be an advantage as will the ability to fit into a team working under pressure and to deadlines. The work requires a reasonable level of physical fitness and excellent inter-personal and communication skills.

 

The successful applicant will be expected to participate in a 24/7 standby/call out rota arrangement, for which extra payment will be made, and also out of hours work, for which time off in lieu or overtime may be paid.

 

Due to the security-sensitive areas in which officers have to work, CRB clearance may be sought for the successful applicant.
