The Magazine
Diverse magazine (formerly Diverse Liverpool magazine) was launched in October 2005, as part of Liverpool's Black History Month celebrations and since then has developed into an important source of credible information for diversity professionals, educational institutions and the general public.
The magazine has developed a strong reputation for promoting diverse communities and organisations. It is widely recognised as an authority on diversity issues and provides quality information to encourage people from the black, minority and ethnic backgrounds, people with disabilities, and people from the most deprived areas across the city region to apply for JOBS, EDUCATION and TRAINING within participating organisation.
The magazine contains editorials, adverts and resources to showcase and highlight many of the employment and educational opportunities available within major organisations. It also features profiles of positive role models from the various diverse communities.
To date, 6 editions of the magazine have been produced, featuring: Race (2005, 2006), Disability (2006), Age (2006) and Gender (2006) and we have also produced 2 special editions, 'Commemorating the Bicentenary of the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act 1807' (2007) and 'Celebrating Liverpool's reign as European Capital of Culture' (2008).
We are currently working on producing another special edition for 2009, examining Liverpool's Year of the Environment.
The 2009 special edition will contain editorials, adverts and resources to showcase and highlight many of the employment and educational opportunities available within major organisations. It also features profiles of positive role models from the various diverse communities.
This edition will be produced in December 2009. Please contact us for advertising and sponsorship opportunities or click here to download our magazine media pack.
Diverse magazine also promotes the benefits of Supplier Diversity and will encourage large organisations to examine their supply chain and consider the impact and benefits of contracting with minority ethnic businesses.
The annual printed magazine/directory will compliment the online publication and provide a comprehensive listing of diversity organisations, businesses and individuals across the UK along with vital information on the benefits of diversity management.
